ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Hortense Duarma Grimes is a Liberian-American. She is a motivational speaker, writer, evangelist and Christian leader. Hortense is the founder of Do It For Christ Ministry. The international Outreach for Spiritual Motivation and Rehabilitation was established in August 1999, as a monument to Jesus Christ, after an amazing Divine encounter with the Lord.

This dynamic woman of God is a prayer warrior. She is a gifted and anointed Christian woman with a passion for helping hurting people. With a natural ability she employs the strength of spoken words to fuel and recharge dormant human passion and drive. Through creative messages, she presents thoughts and ideas, spiced with a little humor, and tinged with reflections of a proud African heritage. Her captivating messages are intended to uplift the human spirit and thrust one to a higher level of faith. Hortense was educated at Ricks Institute, a premiere boarding school located in Virginia, Liberia and the University of Liberia.

A prolific writer, Hortense is the author of the much celebrated book, She Shall Stand. It was released August 2010 to commemorate eleven years of seeking the face of God in carrying out the calling on her life. An inspirational masterpiece, She Shall Stand talks about the tremendous power of Jesus Christ, and delivers a message of hope and encouragement for everyday living. Hortense tells a joyous testimony of the unending capacity of God's grace and love.
