On August 1, 1999, Hortense Duarma Grimes had an amazing Divine encounter with Jesus Christ. The Lord called his child by name, administered an anointing by placing his hand on her forehead and eyes with the instructions, "I am anointing you to Proclaim My Word". Subsequently, Hortense was given two additional charges by the Lord: Speak to the hurting people, specifically people on the Continent of Africa; Encourage all people to develop an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. Upon awaking from the nightlong dream, Hortense continued having many supernatural experiences for a two-week period, including several days of being suspended between Heaven and earth. This miraculous divine encounter was the birth of DO IT FOR CHRIST Ministries.
Towards the end of that year, weeks before the turn of the new millennium 2000 AD, the Lord would give Hortense a Vision for the ministry. Hortense began her commitment to serving Jehovah God Almighty in Christian ministry, and fulfilling the assignment entrusted to her.
Since that divine encounter in 1999, Hortense has dedicated her life to bringing the Jesus gospel beyond the edifice to the larger community. She daily engages people everywhere, by faith-based inspiration, prayer movements, inspiration media, Internet evangelism worldwide, and encouraging spiritual rehabilitation through personal renewal of mindset and mentality shift to the ways of God. Servant Hortense is involved in grassroots evangelism across the globe. She heralds a global call to prayer and launched the Noon Prayer Campaign agenda in July 2013 admonishing nations and people to pause and strategically pray at 12:00 noon for their respective countries. In anticipation of the 27th Anniversary of the ministry, Servant Hortense has embarked on opening the Do It For Christ IP STUDIO, a global command center based in the United States, for intercessory prayer covering the entire world.
Servant Hortense further devotes her energies to fulfilling God's Vision for the ministry: Construction spiritual rehabilitation Christian campuses throughout the four corners of the African continent. Taking back territory of the Master, thee servant proclaims Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of Almighty God. One of her favorite sayings is, "There is a creator, his name is God and he owns your life."

HI media products aim to encourage, motivate, and inspire. Particularly, to see oneself as God sees you. HInewsMedia, a conservative outlet, presents a different approach to storytelling in news reporting and current events, by telling the different sides of every story. Her publishing entity, Duarma Books & Press, was created to seal in print for posterity sake, an extensive collection of 10,000 articles and literary material, published online through social media platforms.

An immigrant from Liberia, West Africa, she is the force behind SOLACE AFRICA PROJECT. Servant Hortense is a visionary for Africa and a missionary for Jesus to the world. SAP is a mission-borne initiative of her ministry. Passionate about prayer and its remarkable dynamic power to transform lives, heal, and bring solace, she is equally compassionate about all people who are hurting from any form of lack. Hortense loves people. She gets her greatest joy from seeing and making others happy! A compassionate person by nature, Servant Hortense is most satisfied when serving others and enjoys working alongside good people to make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate everywhere.
Always on fire for Jesus, Hortense loves to partner with others in the service of the Lord, working wherever, however, and whenever she is needed. Servant Hortense keeps quite busy doing God's kingdom business many ways and various formats, at home in the United States where she resides, and by periodic missions trips to Africa, including her native country Liberia. Her servant-hearted approach to ministry is the fuel of her life.
